Writer's Guidelines for Barrelhouse

An independent non-profit literary organization. Barrelhouse is produced by writers for readers who are looking for quality writing with an edge and a sense of humor. They publish:

  • a biannual print journal featuring fiction, poetry, interviews, and essays about music, art, and the detritus of popular culture
  • a web site with regular posts of new short fiction, nonfiction, poetry, interviews, book reviews, and other literary things.
  • roughly two books a year as a small press.

Payment is $50 to each contributor to the print and online issues, as well as two contributor copies.
