Kindle Matchbook

Amazon has announced a new service called Kindle Matchbook where customers can buy discounted ebook versions of print books they purchase or have purchased in the past.

"For thousands of qualifying books, your past, present, and future print-edition purchases will soon allow you to buy the Kindle edition for $2.99, $1.99, $0.99, or free."

Did you ever want to buy an ebook, but only the print version is available? The solution might be Kindle Matchbook.

Amazon says the programme will launch in October and will include more than 10,000 titles.

For authors with a strong backlist of print books there might be a nice boost to digital sales towards the end of the year!
